Main Services:

C.A.R.S. offers a variety of residential support services.

1. Residential: Community homes that are made up of one to six individuals, with varying levels of supports based on the person's needs, up to 24 hours a day.

2. Residential Relief: Services are available at one of our Group Homes to either gradually introduce an adult individual to a new lifestyle or to provide temporary respite to families.

3. Independent Living Services / Individual Client Support: Independent Living Services (I.L.S.) - A Community Support Supervisor provides support dependent on individual needs, not exceeding 40 hours per month.

4. Independent Client Support (I.C.S.): A Community Support Supervisor provides minimal support to individuals dependent on their requests, not exceeding 15 hours per month.

5. Community Options: An individual may receive personal support to access the community to enjoy a variety of fun social activities, volunteer opportunities and learning experiences. This one individual to one staff service option is developed based on individual needs and available funding.

6. Host Family: This is a supportive service for families with mentally or physically disabled children up to the age of 18 years old. The child is matched with a host family, who will provide the required care. Support is provided for both families. Two programs are available:

* Placement: Up to 365 days per year.

* Relief/Respite: Maximum of 62 days per year.

7. Adult Placement/Proprietor: The individual is matched with a proprietor who will provide the required level of support. Again, the level of support is based on the individuals' needs, up to 24 hours a day.
